Associate Product Manager

About the Vacancy 

The Product Management team oversees the release planning and execution of Thirona’s AI-assisted medical image analysis products. As an Associate Product Manager, you will support the Product Manager in driving the product development lifecycle while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. In this role, you will apply strong organizational and communication skills to structure complex projects in a way that delivers clarity and insight for stakeholders across the company. You have a demonstrated affinity for artificial intelligence and medical image analysis, and are eager to deepen your expertise in these rapidly evolving fields.

In this role you will 

  • Support the product manager in the release planning and execution for Thirona’s products 
  • Contribute to defining product requirements, help developing and maintaining the technical file for Thirona’s products, conform EU-MDR and US-FDA regulations 
  • Organize tasks related to product development processes, while making them insightful for the various teams 
  • Facilitate product development teams to deliver the right thing at the right time. 
  • Liaise with internal teams from R&D, QA/RA, Business Development and Marketing to ensure effective internal communication 
  • Analyze and report post-market surveillance activities related to the software product. 
  • Analyze and report process metrics for product-related quality management system (QMS) processes. 
  • Assist in risk management activities. 
  • Identify and address possible issues related to product safety, information security and personal data (privacy) according to Thirona’s policies and procedures

Your Profile 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in technical or medical field (e.g. biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science) 
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the field of (medical) product development 
  • Affinity with artificial intelligence and medical image analysis 
  • Experience with product development in a regulated environment (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 62304) is a plus 

Practical Information 

  • Thirona counts +/-50 employees with international backgrounds  
  • Office location: Nijmegen  
  • 32-40 hours workweek – hybrid working for 60% 
  • Flexible start and end time 
  • Temporary remote work 
  • EU passport or work permit in EU is required for this job position  
  • The candidate must be either living in the Netherlands or willing to move to the Netherlands 
  • 27 vacation days based on a 40-hour contract, and 8% holiday allowance  
  • 8% pension allowance with a flexible pension plan
