About the Vacancy
An exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager (mid-level) to join our team for lung (respiratory) solutions, focused on driving growth with Medtech and AI platform companies. In this role, you will be responsible for securing new opportunities and clients, building long-term relationships, conducting high-level market research to identify emerging markets and customer needs, and developing a growth strategy that balances financial gain with customer satisfaction. You will nurture key partnerships and deliver on annual new business and revenue targets, working collaboratively with colleagues and management to develop and execute strategic plans that drive both new and incremental business with existing customers.
In this role you will
- Be responsible for business development efforts for Thirona’s lung (respiratory) solutions in Medtech and AI platform customers.
- Build, develop and nurture key customer relationships
- Pro-actively organize sales activities to secure new clients and opportunities
- Coordinate/drive activities with partners and provide support to maximize sales Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Attend conferences and industry events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
- Provide customer feedback and work together with the R&D and operations teams at Thirona to translate (future) customer needs into the Thirona products, services, and solutions
Your profile
- Master’s degree/business school, ideally scientific/technical background with a high interest in Medtech and digital innovations in healthcare
- Minimum of 6 years experience in international business development or sales
- Experience in medical imaging, preferably in CT imaging for lung diseases
- Experience with digital health solutions and platforms, such as PACS and EHR solutions
- Experiences in the Medtech or digital health solutions industry in similar area is a plus
- Commercially driven, customer oriented, creative, and innovative
- Excellent organizational skills (in- and externally)
- The ability to work in a collaborative environment and eager to learn about our products and software
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Proven track record in consultative selling and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside normal business hours for international meetings
Practical information
- Your primary workplace will be our office in Nijmegen
- This position is preferably full-time; part-time employment can be discussed
- You will receive 27 vacation days per year, based on a 40-hour contract
- In addition, you will receive 8% holiday allowance, paid annually in May
- We provide an 8% pension contribution and offer access to a flexible pension scheme
- You are expected to live within approximately one hour travel distance from Nijmegen
- An EU passport or a valid EU work permit is required for this position
